This is where I collect things that interest and inspire me. Still figuring this out.

Skateboarding in a very unusual spot. Love the creativity in this. Making use of what's around, not being
restricted by the environment.

A blog post about how many videos were accidentally uploaded from iphones to youtube. This provides a charming glimpse into the reality of other people, raw and unedited.

My Neighbour Totoro

2024-11-06

I recently watched the movie My Neighbour Totoro
What a wonderful movie!

On of the memorable scenes is of course the one on the bus stop. Probably the most famous shot is the one where Totoro stands
next to Mei and Satsuki. But before that, the camera moves to a view from above, pointing down so we can see
the street lamp and the red umbrella from above, with the rain pouring. I found that quite interesting:

Mei, Satsuki and Totoro waiting on the bus stop when it's pouring

It somehow also reminded me of this shot from the Matrix, which is similarly cool:

I Spent 24 Hours Straight On the NYC Subway!

I have always been fascinated by big Cities, how everything there is layered and nested,
how it contains various little sub cities and spaces.
One such space is of course the underground and the subway. Anne Kadet decided
to spend an entire 24 hours in the subway of NCY. A fun read, takes one through
the sub world of the city while meeting various types of uplifting people.

Shaffer Nickel doing what he wants to do, not giving a F about the fact that
this video won't perform well on Youtube.

A video with slow cuts and minimal cam movement and just beautiful music.

Creativity on stereoids: Ian Hubert about building worlds in Blender. This
video is packed with fun information but it's also very fascinating to see his
approach in seeing and noticing the world and then replicating it in Blender
with very creative approaches and tricks.
